Why TOEFL?

More than 11,000 institutions of higher education, government agencies and organizations worldwide consider TOEFL scores as a part of their application and hiring process.

Why AWLCI?

Our program offers English courses specifically designed to get you ready for the TOEFL online exam. We offer an in-depth skill review and the opportunity to take multiple practice exams so you can take the TOEFL exam with confidence. Our small class sizes allow you the opportunity to receive individualized feedback from the instructor you can use to strengthen your test-taking ability and improve your score. Through our program you will have access to practice exams, one-on-one tutoring sessions and free preparation resources.

What can students expect?

By the end of the 4-week program students will: 

  • Have received 20+ hours of personalized instructional training 

  • Be familiar with the format and directions of the TOEFL test

  • Be familiar with the types of questions that are asked in each section

  • Have assessed strengths and areas for improvement

  • Have developed the English language skills that are necessary to be successful on the test 

  • Have developed test taking strategies

Technology: Format and Logistics

Our program prepares students for the online TOEFL exam. This class will be offered up to three times per week, with flexibility based on your schedule. It will be held on Zoom so you can attend class from the convenience of your own home. Students should have a computer or tablet that supports zoom software in order to take full advantage of our digital materials and engage fully in class. Taking class through the Zoom mobile app is not recommended. Additionally, students should be familiar with the Google Suite. All Zoom links and class materials will be provided before class via email and students can keep everything on their devices or print for their convenience.

TOEFL Class Teachers

Our teachers have years of experience teaching English to non-native speakers and are highly knowledgeable about the TOEFL Exam. They are available to answer questions and help students outside of the classroom thanks to our smaller and more inclusive class size. 

Student Requirements

Students must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age 

  • Be applying for graduate programs, observerships, fellowships, or a full time profession

  • Have a minimum English level/proficiency of B2 on the the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Scale

  • Be prepared for an online interview with a teacher to confirm final placement

  • Be aware that we cannot sponsor student visas
